Description
This lovely cabinet features intriguing dark European bookmatched crown-cut & burl walnut veneers over rich mahogany, a cedar backing & bottom and spectacular Art Deco brass pulls. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns… Incredible artisanship! (What strange images do you see within these veneers ?) When the mirrored drop-down door is lowered, the top pops-up and a newly installed light fixture automatically illuminates. The bar service is lined in a gorgeous ribbon mahogany, has clear mirrors throughout and includes the original chrome juicer & six multi-colored bakelite martini picks. A service drawer located directly beneath can accommodate cutlery & other bar accoutrement. The bottom storage area is lined in the same rich ribbon mahogany, has ample space for plenty of bottles & barware, includes a shelf & cutouts for various liquor bottles and can be locked with the original barrel key. Also, note that the original London manufacturer’s label is still attached to the right inside door.
