This fabulous Cellarette is crafted of absolutely spectacular European book-matched burl, crown-cut & quilted walnut veneers over rich mahogany and includes a cedar backing & bottom. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns... Incredible artisanship! (What strange images do you see within these veneers?) When the drop-down door is lowered the top pops-up and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates. The bar service is lined in gorgeous ribbon mahogany, features the original reverse-painted gold striped mirrors on the bottom & drop-down door and a reverse-painted mirror on the back with a gold stylized bar scene (martini glasses / shaker / corkscrew / picks / bubbles / stars / starbursts). Attached to the pop-up panel are six original multicolored bakelite/metal martini picks and the original chrome juicer. Directly below is a spacious storage compartment lined in the same rich ribbon mahogany that provides plenty of room for bottles & barware and is accessed via gorgeous double doors that can be locked with the original barrel key. Attached to the back of the right door is the London manufacturer's white bakelite label... Rivington Products.
