Large English Art Deco Pop-Up Bar of Gorgeous Walnut with
Spectacular Exterior Lighting, Circa 1930's...

This fabulous cellarette features beautiful European book-matched burl, crown-cut & quilted walnut veneers over rich flame mahogany and a backing & bottom of maple. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns... Absolutely incredible artisanship! However, the most striking feature are the spectacular exterior lights... Two small end compartments with lights inside are covered with an opaque white plastic lens. Along the middle and installed vertically the entire height of the the bottom storage compartment is another light with the same curved plastic lens with brass trim. All three lights have been rewired for American circuit and are illuminated via a push-button switch mounted on the back of the cabinet... They provide fantastic evening mood lighting! The bar service is lined in rich flame mahogany, features the original reverse-painted mirror on the back with a stylized bar scene (martini glasses, shakers, ash tray, bubbles, stars & starbursts), the original reverse-painted & gold striped mirror on the bottom, a clear mirror on the drop-down door with brass railing, six original multicolored bakelite martini picks, a polished stainless juicer and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit and and illuminates automatically upon opening the door. The spacious bottom storage compartment is lined in the same flame mahogany, features a large center wooden shelf, cutouts along the bottom for storing various liquor bottles and is accessed via two double-doors that can be locked with the same original barrel key.
