Large English Art Deco Pop-Up Bar of Walnut with
Triple Mechanism & Beautiful Side Displays, Circa 1930's...

This spectacular cabinet features beautiful European bookmatched crown-cut & burl walnut veneers over sumptuous mahogany and a cedar backing. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns... Absolutely incredible artisanship! When the mirrored drop-down door is lowered via a gorgeous Deco brass pull, the top pops-up and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates, then the entire bar service moves forward! The bar service is lined in a rich flame mahogany that's accented with copper trim and includes all the original reverse-painted mirrors... a stylized bar scene on the back with cocktail shaker-martini glasses-bubbles-stars-starbursts and gold striped mirrors on the bottom & drop-down door. Six original bakelite martini picks and a stainless steel juicer are also retained on the pop-up panel. The spacious bottom storage compartment is also lined in flame mahogany, includes a large wooden shelf & four copper door clips to hold/store even more bottles and the entire area is accessed via two double doors which can be locked with the original barrel key. Note the London manufacturer's label is still attached to the top of the right door. On both sides of this incredible bar are curved & full-length display compartments with two glass shelves in each (height adjustable via metal clips) for even more storage. Both of these fabulous compartments are accessed via beautifully painted glass doors that can be locked with their original barrel key.
