Pop-Up Bar of Walnut with Inlayed Oriental Motif
English Art Deco Pop-Up Bar of Spectacular Burl Walnut with
 Curved Design, Triple Mechanism and Exotic Inlayed Oriental Motif, Circa 1930's...

This extraordinary cocktail cabinet features European bookmatched crown-cut & burl walnut veneers over rich mahogany and a cedar backing.  Spectacular & exotic Oriental scenes are meticulously inlayed into the veneers to add a colorful & dramatic effect.  Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous patterns... absolutely incredible artisanship!  The bar service is lined in rich flame mahogany, includes the original reverse-painted mirrors with a stylized bar scene on the back (martini glasses - shaker - bubbles - stars - starbursts), a striped bottom mirror and a clear mirror on the drop-down door.  The original chrome juicer and six red bakelite martini picks are also included.  When the drop-down door is lowered, the top pops-up, the entire bar service moves forward and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates.  Simply fantastic!!!  The bottom storage area is very spacious, lined in the the same rich flame mahogany, includes a large shelf & three metal clips on the back of each door for retaining bottles, and both doors can be locked with the same original barrel key.  Note the London manufacturer's label is still prominently displayed on the back of the right door.
