English Art Deco Cellarette of Quilted Walnut with
Waterfall Top, Circa 1940's...

This gorgeous cabinet features spectacular European bookmatched quilted & crown-cut walnut veneers over rich mahogany and a cedar backing & bottom. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet and over the 'waterfall top' in a seamless manner and cascade down in a continuous pattern... Incredible artisanship! The bar service is lined in rich ribbon mahogany and includes clear mirrors throughout, a curved glass shelf, six original multicolored bakelite martini picks, a stainless steel juicer and fabulous stemware holder. When the mirrored drop-down door is lowered the top pops-up and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automically illuminates. The spacious bottom storage area features the same rich ribbon mahogany, includes a shelf & cutouts for various liquor bottles and the original London manufacturer's label that is still attached to the inside of one of the double doors. Of special note are the fantastic & original bakelite pulls mounted on all the doors... very rare!
