Large Upright English Art Deco Cocktail Cabinet of Spectacular
Burl Walnut, Circa 1940's...     

This absolutely stunning cabinet features spectacular European bookmatched crown-cut & burl walnut veneers over rich ribbon mahogany and a cedar backing.  Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns... Absolutely incredible artisanship!  The bar service is accessed via two double doors that can be locked with the original barrel key (note the fantastic Art Deco brass handles), is swathed in a gorgeous golden sycamore, includes the original reverse-painted mirrors with a stylized bar scene on the back (large martini glass framed with gold stripes), a center glass shelf and two additional shelves with bakelite trim on each door for the display of cordials, six original multi-colored bakelite martini picks, and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit and illuminates automatically when the doors are opened.  Directly below the bar service is a flawless & striped mirrored pull-out mixing tray.  The bottom storage area is also accessed via two double doors that can be locked with the same barrel key, is lined in the same rich ribbon mahogany, includes a large wooden shelf and provides plenty of room for bottles & barware.
