Intriguing Veneer Patterns, Circa 1940's...

This fantastic cabinet features beautiful European bookmatched crown-cut & burl walnut veneers over rich mahogany and a backing & bottom of ribbon mahogany. Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in a continuous 'intriguing' pattern... Incredible artisanship! ( What images do you see within these veneers? ) When the drop-down door is lowered, the top pops-up and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates. The bar service is swathed in a golden blonde sycamore, includes clear mirrors on the back & drop-down door, a reverse-painted striped mirror on the bottom and six multi-colored bakelite martini picks. The bottom storage area is lined in the same ribbon mahogany, provides ample room for plenty of bottles & barware, includes a large wooden shelf & cutouts for various liquor bottles and can be locked with the original barrel key. Note that the London manufacturer's label is still attached to the inside right door.
