Large English Art Deco Demi-Lune Cocktail Cabinet of Gorgeous Burl Walnut, Circa 1930's...

This rare and spectacular large 'Demi-Lune' (half circle) two-piece stacked cocktail cabinet features European bookmatched burl & crown-cut walnut veneers over ribbon mahogany, a cedar backing and fabulous handles of ivory Bakelite! Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & mysterious patterns... Incredible artisanship! ( What strange images do you see within these veneer patterns? ) The spacious top bar service is swathed in beautiful blonde sycamore, features a clear back mirror, includes two glass shelves... four cordial shelves with metal clips for retaining stemware... and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit and illuminates automatically when the double-doors are opened. Located directly below is a pull-out mirrored mixing tray. The top curved side compartments are lined in the same blonde sycamore, feature a clear mirror on the back and two glass shelves. The bottom curved side compartments are lined in rich ribbon mahogany and include two wooden shelves. The spacious bottom center compartment is also lined in ribbon mahogany, features cutouts for various liquor bottles and includes a large wooden shelf. Two felt-lined service drawers provide storage for cutlery and other bar accoutrement. All six compartments can be locked utilizing the same original barrel key.
