Rare Cellarette of Mahogany w/ Concealed & Rising Bar Service
Extremely Rare English Art Deco Cellarette of
Mahogany with Concealed & Rising Bar Service, Circa 1930's... SOLD ! This consignment piece (located in Connecticut) is a gorgeous & extremely rare Prohibition Era Cellarette with short Queen Ann legs that is crafted of rich European mahogany.
There is ornate scrolling along the top & bottom, as well as on the front of both doors. The bottom storage compartment
is accessed via double doors with brass pulls and can be locked with the original barrel key. Upon opening, an interior
of beautiful & rich flame mahogany is revealed and includes a center wooden shelf with a single wooden bottle holder and
four stacked wooden bottle holders attached to the back of each door. This compartment certainly has ample room for
plenty of bottles & barware. However, what is truly spectacular is the hidden top bar
service... When the back piece of the split and hinged top is pulled upward & outward 180°, a mirrored
mixing shelf is revealed. But simultaneously, a hidden bar service of the same rich flame mahogany magically rises vertically
to the top via an incredible bellows mechanism! This secret compartment has plenty of room for bottles & barware
and features wooden stemware holders and cutouts for highball glassware, Outwardly, this piece appears to be just another nice cabinet, but when you open
it, your guests will be stunned, amazed and suddenly thirsty! Dimensions: 26" Wide x 18" Deep x
