Large English Art Deco Cellarette of Truly Spectacular Burl Walnut, Circa 1930's...

This spectacular cabinet features incredible European bookmatched burl walnut veneers over flame mahogany and a backing of cedar.  Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns...  Incredible Artisanship!  (What strange images do you see within these gorgeous veneers?)   The top bar service is lined in rare & beautiful birdseye maple, features clear mirrors on the back / bottom / drop-down door, includes eight original bakelite martini picks & the original chrome juicer recessed in a wooden holder attached to the pop-up panel, and a clever birdseye maple stemware holder mounted to the drop-down door (Glasses stay upright when door is closed.)  When the drop-down door is lowered via a fantastic Deco inspired & bakelite / brass pull, the top pops-up and the original 'shielded' light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates.  The spacious lower storage compartment is lined in a rich flame mahogany and is accessed via two gorgeous double-doors which can be locked & opened with their original barrel key.   Two green felt-lined drawers with beautiful dark brass pulls are located at the top for storing of various bar accoutrament.  Directly below is a center wooden shelf, followed by wooden cut-outs at the bottom for the storage of various liquor & wine bottles.  Attached to the back of each door are three brass clips to retain even more liquor bottles.

 This really is one of the finest large Cellarettes I've come accross in quite some time!
