Large English Art Deco Tiered Cellarette of Walnut with Spectacular Mirrors & Triple Mechanism, Circa 1930's

This spectacular tiered cabinet features fabulous European bookmatched burl, crown-cut & quilted walnut veneers over rich flame mahogany and a backing & bottom of maple.  Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns...  Incredible artisanship!  The top tiered bar service is lined in fabulous flame mahogany, features the original reverse-painted mirror on the back with a gold stylized bar scene ( shaker- martini glasses - corkscrew - bubbles - stars - star bursts ), original reverse-painted gold striped mirrors on the bottom & drop-down door, and six original black bakelite martini picks & a chrome juicer attached to the pop-up panel.  When the drop-down door is lowered via a gorgeous Deco inspired brass pull, the top pops-up and the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit automatically illuminates...  However, what is most amazing is that the entire bar service also moves forward!  The spacious bottom compartment is accessed via double doors with two original locks that utilize the same barrel key.  The interior is lined in the same flame mahogany, features a center wooden shelf and has ample room for plenty of bottles & barware.  Attached to the back of the right door is a white bakelite label appropriately named...  Majestic...  Rivington Product...  London...  E.C.2
