Large English Art Deco Tiered Cellarette of Fabulous Walnut with Fantastic Exterior Lighting, Circa 1930's...

This gorgeous tiered cellarette features beautiful European book-matched burl, crown-cut & quilted walnut veneers over rich flame mahogany and a backing & bottom of maple.  Note how the veneers flow from the top of the cabinet in a seamless manner and cascade down in continuous & intriguing patterns...  Incredible artisanship!  However, the most striking feature is the fabulous exterior lighting...  Along the center & installed vertically the entire height of the bottom storage compartment is a curved & opaque plastic lens with light behind.  This original light fixture has been rewired for American circuit and illuminates via a push-button switch mounted just inside and at the top right of the storgae compartment.  The soft & sexy glow produced in a dimly lighted room really makes this piece stand-out!  The bar service is lined in a beautiful golden sycamore, features an original reverse-painted mirror on the back with a stylized bar scene (martini glasses - shakers - bubbles - stars - starbursts), the original reverse-painted striped mirror along the bottom, a clear mirror on the drop-down door, and six original bakelite martini picks & a stainless steel juicer atached to the pop-up panel.  What's even more amazing are the special mechanisms...  When the drop-down door is lowered the top pops-up, the original light fixture which has been rewired for American circuit antomatically illuminates and the entire bar service moves forward!  The spacious bottom storage compartment is lined in rich flame mahogany, accessed via two double doors that can be locked with their original barrel key, includes three brass clips on the back of each door for retaining liquor bottles, features a center wooden shelf and provides plenty of room for bottles & barware.  The London manufacturer of this gorgeous cabinet is...
